Crossfit Dexter is a crossfit gymnasium located in Seattle's bustling South Lake Union neighborhood. The project included the adaptive reuse of a former auto repair garage into a health club.

Major Considerations: As a tenant improvement project, the development had a restricted budget. The work included converting the building from an un-heated use into a space suitable for human occupancy. Our design included improving the efficiency of the glazing and an overhead automobile door. The shower and locker area was treated as a building within a building, fully heated, and insulated to the standards for new construction. The work also included adding a second fire exit, to accommodate the increased occupancy, and design for the disabled.
